Rudi meowing

Well, if there is not a cat in your home, there has to be one that gets near an open window often enough to teach your Rudi!

You definitely have a cat nearby. Sounds like its asking for something. Is there a chance that she heard it on TV? Parrots only have to hear it once!

Amazing what they pick up on, and how they use it! Salty started calling our dog Tinker, when she was alive, in my wife's voice. He did it to mess with the dog's head, calling her into another room all the time. He continued doing it after she passed, much to the annoyance of my wife. Salty still does it occasionally, even after Geri has passed, i guess to try and get a rise out of me.

Do you like it? Nameliss meows. I encourage her with some comment about her being a Nameliss kitty. Same thing with her being a Nameliss puppy.

Honestly, there are cats that always come to visit me asking for food. Our garden is big and has a small farm with ducks, chickens, and sheep. I’ve also taken in some stray cats and made a special place for them in the garden. When we’re late feeding them, they come inside, sit in the living room, and start meowing until I give them their food! And Rudi is upstairs, listening to them very closely, sometimes she even responds to them šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

So sometimes when Rudi suddenly starts meowing, before I realize what’s going on, I think for a moment that the cats have somehow gone upstairs to her and I panic 😭

They really are amazing creatures! I’m more and more amazed by them every time. A while ago, someone I know brought me his Yellow-naped Amazon parrot and left him with me for a month while he traveled for work, asking me to take care of him until he returned. The parrot used to call the family members in the man’s own voice! It was incredible how he did that. I’m sure the people in his house were always confused about whether it was actually their father or the parrot!

My grey, Yvons, says 'Meow' (like a human saying it) when the cats wander into the bird room. Funny to hear!

I recorded her meowing today!
It’s so funny how she sometimes tricks me into thinking there’s a cat in the house 🤣

Hey Amna, I'm perfectly aware you're quite convinced you have a parrot but I think you should look into the possibility of your 'parrot' being a cat. I mean, it appears to me that you've just caught a cat masquerading as a bird red-handed.
