Can you teach me how to identify different goldfish? I dunno how to :)
Black moors/butterfly fantails are black/orange/calico with bulging "telescope" eyes. Butterfly fantails are different than normal fantails, because if you look at their tail fom the top, it looks like butterfly wings. Black moors are black non-butterfly fantails, with a velvety appearence.

Orandas/ranchus/lionheads/crowned pearlscales all have extra fat on the outside of their head called a wen. The wen does not hurt them or serve any purpose other than decorative.

Those aren't all the types, but I hope it helped :)

Cossie is going to the vet next Saturday, as she is still having trouble flying... I can’t help but think of the worst case scenarios 😰

She’s seeing a CAV, though, and one who has given my birds excellent care throughout their RI. I’m fairly confident that he’ll find the cause.

Still, I’m worried she has heart issues or atherosclerosis :(

Alright, Cossie went to the vet and was prescribed some more doxycycline, plus some aspirin (EXTREMELY small dose dissolved in water) for inflammation, since she is still having trouble flying. He doesn’t know why she’s having trouble, since she is almost fully recovered from the RI, and a healthy weight, so it’s somewhat experimental at this point. He will run more extensive tests if the flying doesn’t improve.

Cossie has been pretty chill, and handled the vet’s office well! Plus, they wrapped the meds in cool tractor vet tape😍

I wish they existed in SA :( They look so cool.
They aren’t sold there? That might actually be for the better, they are pretty addictive (and expensive) to buy but the bird destroy them in a week 🀣

What a fluff-fluff! She’s sooo much more chill, on the way up she was freaking out. It’s a 2hr drive, so I’m glad she’s settled.

Forgot to update!

Picasso is more cuddly than ever, and is letting me kiss her back and hold her wings to her body!

Stormy is still getting past Pepper's death, and he seems a bit overwhelmed by the girls (female budgies have HUGE personalities), but he's doing alright. He gets 10 mins of training every night, and he especially LOVES recall tricks. He knows about 4 so far.

Apollie is stepping up, and we're working on her confidence and stamina when flying, making sure to do plenty of descents, and working on her reaction time when asked to "come". She's also learning to balance on a dome!

I'm starting training back up again, they each get about 10mins of training per night, unless I'm not feeling great. My bond with them has only gotten stronger!
