"I 'm readyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!
I got plenty of green chiles and
pellets and toys! Now all I need is the henszszs!"

Vamp, you doin' it RIGHT!

Next hen up...
You doin' it WRONG!
They're lucky their bird didn't get seriously scalded! Burns are incredibly painful even minor ones. Personally, I don't find it very funny to see a bird dousing himself in hot chocolate. At the very least, that poor bird will need the kind of bath they won't enjoy at all. Sorry if I'm being a killjoy but injured birds are nothing to laugh at. It can be heartbreaking.

Julio elected to bypass "TEQUIIIIILA DAY" this year as he was busy placing his order for his special Rum and would not step away from the negotiations for even a sip! Now that's dedication!

Hope your household enjoyed!

I was just looking at some of the older posts in this thread again. I wish "BirdTalk" magazine was around...I've only owned birds since 2022. There seems to be an increase in people owning more pets that are not cats or dogs (I say this as a loving dog owner).

**Pages in the Breeze**

Well, the glossy pages flutter, like wings in the sky,

Bird Talk Magazine, where the feathered folks fly,

Whispers of the wild, singing tales of the morn,

From sparrows to eagles, every heart’s reborn.

Chorus:

Hey, singin’ with a swallow, flyin’ high and low,

In the ink of the pages, where the bird watchers go,

With a chirp and a call, they dance through the trees,

Bird Talk's got the stories, blowin’ soft on the breeze.

They gathered ‘round the table, each with a cup,

Old folks with their binoculars, never givin’ up,

Countin’ all the blessings that flutter and dive,

In this world of wonder, where the heart feels alive.

(Chorus)

Hey, singin’ with a swallow, flyin’ high and low,

In the ink of the pages, where the bird watchers go,

With a chirp and a call, they dance through the trees,

Bird Talk's got the stories, blowin’ soft on the breeze.

Bright cardinals and blue jays, flutterin’ by,

With secrets in their songs, to whisper and sigh,

They’ve seen the shadows passing, of change in the air,

Through the eyes of the morning, they invite us to care.

(Chorus)

Hey, singin’ with a swallow, flyin’ high and low,

In the ink of the pages, where the bird watchers go,

With a chirp and a call, they dance through the trees,

Bird Talk's got the stories, blowin’ soft on the breeze.

So here’s to the feathers, and here’s to the flight,

In the words of the ancients, from the darkness to light,

With every little flurry, and every soft thrill,

Bird Talk Magazine, it’s the soul’s quiet trill.

(Chorus)

Hey, singin’ with a swallow, flyin’ high and low,

In the ink of the pages, where the bird lovers go,

With a chirp and a call, they dance through the trees,

Bird Talk's got the stories, blowin’ soft on the breeze.

I had bed bugs and had to throw out ALLLLLLLLLL my magazines. I was not thrilled, as I had some magazines, like old National Geographic and Bird Talk, that I wanted to read again.

I wish I had saved them. I have a friend that may have and might want to sell some.
Gurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrl! I have long been fantasizing about finding any f the old articles on Dr. Jamie Lindstrom, Bird Talk contributor and world-class vet. If you find any, I'll PAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
Rb photos and contributions are in the early pages of this Scrapbook.
LOVED Bird Talk!

I miss BirdTalk. The information and pictures taught me so much. A fire destroyed my collection of it and crafting magazines.

Oh, rheashard2... OMG I'm so sorry. What a horrible loss.
I have only myself to blame for my Bird Talk losses. I had a couple of boxes of them, and gave them to a dear friend when I moved. I'm so glad I have the Rb articles. IF ONLY I had saved some of Dr. Lindstrom's contributions. I never dreamed he'd be our vet someday.
Maybe I could write the Bird Talk business... it still exists, and offer them big bucks...?

Did Rb like to look at pictures in the magazine? Then have you give a story or read article aloud? I can picture him waiting for story time. Nameliss prefers crochet or beadwork.
