We have had Jade for only 3 days, evidently I'm a quick learner...:54:

1. No brussel sprouts. EVER!
2. Place her food on a dinner plate and hold it for her while she sits and eats from my shoulder.
3. She prefers her ice water from a glass. Bowls will do in a pinch only.
4. If she makes baby noises I will come pick her up and cuddle her.
5. She prefers to be scratched behind the ear patches and under the beak.

As she teaches me more tricks, I will update the list.

She seems to be a bit of a picky eater. She LOVES her pellets and likes sprouts, mixed nuts are okay too. She is not a fan of Beak Appetit and the aforementioned brussel sprouts. We have not tried other veggies yet.

She has me pretty much wrapped around her flight feathers.

The Poppy, the african grey we help look after has a distinct dislike of wet foods! If we give her any apple or the such with the juice on the outside she'll take it and throw it back at us, Lol!

However, try out lots of diffrent fruit and veg! Pellets may have all the nutrients, but variety is the spice of life! Ozzy loves peaches and apple the most.

She's taught me that Max is jealous of his shoulder time. He's tolerant of her sharing his play perch - even though she has a perfectly good Boing that he can't reach because his wings are clipped (but that's another story) and he's okay with her perching on me if he's having a snack on his play perch. However, if he's getting special one-on-one time with me, she really needs to go somewhere else!

I found that even the smallest birds can be the most cocky!

Ozzy (teil) makes sure to try and put Poppy (cag) in her place and divebombs her cage when he has a fly around.

I know what you mean. Max is only half the size of Jade and he's definitely going to be alpha bird.
