Iā€™m trying to get my budgie a new cage! Are these cages big enough enough for a single budgie? If so, which one is better? (the wider one is 30 x 18 x 18 inches)

The wider cage is much better than the tall one, birds fly horizontally not vertically

Go for the first one. It is more convenient for you and the bird. The second cage is big enough, but has little width for it to move around in.
