Worried

Ok so I have been worried about the colour of Chester's beak, when I first got him his beak was bright red all over but is now changing colour. His bottom beak is going black which i think is normal but now his top beak is going back too.
Well.i decided to Google this and everything I'm reading says that the top part of his beak should not be going black if he is an IRN and that he could be ill.
He is moulting but is eating, drinking and being his mischievous self.when out.
Could chester be an ARN.or a hybrid.
I don't care what he is as long as he's healthy.

If the top beak isn't supposed to turn black, I'd definitely schedule a vet visit. Good luck!

Donna I did a little research. And what I found out, a ringneck from 6months to eighteen months the dark area on the top beak touching the bottom beak is normal. For a maturing ringneck.
