Tonight while having play time with my bird he starting acting weird. Flapping his wings and like choking then threw up. Should I be worried ? Why would he do this?
She’s pretty persistent with her not so subtle advances...I have her fly to her perch or cage top to distract her, but she insists! LOL, that’s when she gets put in her cage for the reset.only for a short bit....This is definitely mating activity with the wings drooped low and held out from her body a little, try and be nice to her but also try and distract her away. I just tell enzo I love her then move her somewhere and show her something new or whatever. She also tries to paw my face with a foot...... Debbie DEFINITELY loves you, dont put her in the cage though, it must be frustrating enough for them when they are like that.
Simple regurgitating (looks like choking as bringing food from hist/her crop, has a sweet smell to it) is more a sign of affection and normally will only last a few seconds, totally normal, take it as a real compliment.
I'm going against the flow here. I'm worrying it's true vomit.
My birds will regurgitate to me, but never flapping wings first, and never acting like they are choking.....
My birds usually try to put in my mouth, or my Penny used to try and feed objects.
Smell the stuff next time, regurge smells fresh, and vomit smells sickly.
How are stools, how's weight?
I hope the others are right, and your bird is just lovey a d not sick.
If I was unsure , I would take my bird to the vet, just to be safe. Keeps us posted.
