Congo African Grey: Russell Peters (R.I.P. my baby)
Hi there, I have a question on what kind of toys I should get for my baby Congo Grey, he is 4 months old and doesn’t seem to be too keen on the toys I bought him. I know the toys should be stimulating, any suggestions as right now he’d prefer to chew on my shoes, remote, wicker chairs, anything that is not the toys I bought him. Is it too early to start playing games with him? I know they are highly intelligent but is that from when they are babies or does their intelligence start showing when they are older. Long story short is that if anyone has any feedback on what would stimulate my 4 month old I would really appreiciate it.

Thanks…… April :grey:

Auggie has lots of store bought toys, many untouched. I don't bother getting any more when shoes, remotes, and wicker chairs do the job so well :)

Toilet paper roles, egg cartons, random cardboard boxes and cartons... those are Auggie's toys now.

As far as the 'games' anything that would be good for an adult should be good for a younger bird. Behavior can and will change over their life, but a majority of neural development has happened by 4 months.
