Tsali has already learned the name of our daughter. He’s been calling our son by name for ages but this week he’s started saying “Clara baby” and I find it adorable!

It really is! We haven’t officially canceled the g-tube surgery, we are waiting on a swallow study, but we are confident she won’t need it :)

My toddler looooves baby birds :) when they get riled up to eat and start grabbing each other’s faces he says “birdies, stop that. Birdies, be nice, no biting, be nice!”

Also, we have recently welcomed 3
Alexandrines to our flock. A dear friend of mine has been having severe health struggles for several years and knows things are not getting easier any time soon, and chose to entrust these guys to me.

Cyrano, male, age 7
Is a hoot! My friend raised him and he is a talking, trick doing, sweet, spunky, smart, outgoing darling. I’m in love with him!

Moki, male, age 31 (yes, that’s right!)
Raised by a Japanese couple for 25 years so he doesn’t speak much English. When they were forced to move my friend took him. He is in incredible health and has wanted to stay close to me so far.

Tinkerbelle, female, age 8
She can’t stand well on her splayed legs but she is a great climber and also a strong flier in great health :) my friend rescued her several years ago and she has absolutely thrived!

Tsali is doing SO WELL with the new kids! The other inside birds weren’t a worry but Tsali doesn’t like to share lol. Check out him NOT MURDERING Moki! He even let Cyrano sit on his cage.

Here’s a reunion for you! Nohea came to us from this same friend, and she and Cyrano were buddies! Today she tried to push this box off onto his head lol

I am 71, married and fairly private. I have PM privileges but prefer the phone. Printed messages, are so limited. jh
LOL. The way you feed, it's a wonder their tails aren't a corkscrew. Lovely idea but there's too much wind, rain, snow and ice here; for that sort of aviary. jh

Excuse me? It’s a wonder their tails aren’t corkscrews? Please elaborate. My flock is in excellent health with a fantastic diet.

On facebook group somebody said that when he breeds IRN's gives them egg since they are one week old and veggies & fruits since one month old. This shocked me especially he said that if he gives them ealier babies may pass away but if not, they are very healthy. I don't have (and I'm not going to have) IRN's but this shocked me - can you write if this is right?
Your babies are adorable of course:)

I certainly wouldn’t feed eggs at one week! But did he say “egg food”? Because that is a mixture that includes eggs and many people do this. I offer fruits and veggies at one month as well but we still feed formula 4-6 times per day.

Thanks for you reply, I meant raising by their parents, not hand-feeding. I also meant eggs, not egg food.

Edit: Lol, I wanted to write something to him but the post is deleted:confused:
