Baby pictures!

Nope still waiting lol..... Grrr..... I am impatient. Haha

But yes he has grown so fast! It's shocking.

Darn, how long does it usually take to get the results back?
Yeah!

I am not sure what service my breeder is using. When i used Avian Biotech it took a week to get the sample kit in the mail, a week for them to get my feather sample in the mail then they had the results available online in three days and sent me an email. Then another two weeks to get my certificate in the mail. But again I dont know where she sends hers....

It's a girl. :( they have a normal turquoise male and a blue parrotlet male available or I can wait for a different clutch.

Aw too bad. I know you definitely would like a male. Decisions, decisions... What are you leaning more towards doing?

I started a different thread asking questions about parrotlets. I am leaning toward a blue male parrotlet. I have been doing research just in case. But I am hoping for people with experience to give opinions.

Why not take the other male Turquoise? :)

Actually after talking to my Breeder and posting a few questions, I am pretty sure I am going to keep this YST baby even though she's a girl. When I first got Punk it was a YST I really wanted. That's why I wanted this baby specifically. :) They are just so so beautiful.

I'm with you on the YST mutation. Ever since I was first aware of that mutation, I thought they were gorgeous.

So are you definitely going for the YST, or are you maybe going for a parrotlet?
Funnily enough; I'm considering parrotlets too lol

I am torn but I think it would be better to go for the YST. I already sent my breeder the money a month ago and I'd hate to ask for $100 back for the difference for a parrotlet. I like the idea of a different species, but at least I know that GCCs work for me..... I'm so torn. But I'll probably go for the YST

Yeah, conures are amazing! You could maybe get a parrotlet in the future though :)

What the heck is a YST? yellow sided toucan?

I agree with YST being beautiful. I didn't know about them either until we got Tiki. Then a few months after, a local breeder had some :22: we think Tiki is beautiful too and happy he is family.

I would wait for another clutch... After all he will live 20+ years with you, whats a few more months to get what you want in the first place? You may never feel completely fulfilled with your flock until then. Just my 2 cents.

Skittles dad: YST = yellow sided turquoise :)

Possibly just a typo? :) I'm not familiar with conure abbreviations, but I'm pretty sure you saw that this particular thread is about Turquoise Yellow Sided Green Cheek Conures. TYSGCC????? :D There, is that better?

Haha sorry I am just saying Yellow Sided Turquoise (YST) :) didnt mean to be confusing lol just lazy.

I agree that I should either get this baby or wait for a male YST, I know it is just a color and that in the long run I will love whatever new baby I bring home, But I fell in love with this mutation the minurte I saw it. Pumpkin is stunning too and maybe it is super shallow, but I realy realy realy want this color haha.

I don't think it's shallow at all, Ann. :) And I still say 'get that girly'. :D

Yes I think I am going to bring this girl home. I have her baby pictures and I feel like ive watched her grow up like I did with Pumpkin, like she is already part of the family. Without the fears I had of the breeding or hormone problems there is really nothing stopping me.... :D
