more cute pics! how does he react to people outside? do people want to pet him? do you let them or it's not a good idea?

when i have my gcc out, she hides in my hair and snuggles behind my ear. she always does this in the car, too lol.

Love the pictures. I would love to walk around with Lucy but it would have to be at a park or something. There are too many cars and very loud trucks around us (live near a major highway) and she could get spooked easily.

Hi, Conuregirl! Boomer is a little indifferent of strangers, I'd like him to be more friendly towards them but he just checks them out and doesn't show interest. No one has asked to pet him but if they did I might just say something like he might get scared and bite. I just don't want to risk them reacting to a bite in a way that would scare Boomer, should he indeed bite. Your gcc sounds so cute!

Thanks, AFP! It is pretty quite in my street, just the occassional car here and there. I'd be afraid to take him to the louder, faster streets too. I always worry that a loud sounding car might pass by and scare him though, but so far he's been good about it. Everytime I see Lucy's picture, she reminds me of Boomer . Our hatch dates are close too! Boomer is 2/6/12.

These were taken mid August, another trip to the park with Boomer. It was a very relaxing trip for everyone. We had our human food and he had his treats, after which we 'explored' with him on our shoulder around the safe parts of the park.

Boomer is Amazingly cute, with a capital A. Those playtime videos - OMG. I sooo want to bring home a sun conure from a breeder, but I just don't know how it would go at home with Pritti (male cherry-headed conure), who has been "the one and only" for 30 years. Hi everyone! I wanted to share more of Boomer's photos! He is coming along very well. 7 months old now, still a hyper, cuddly, voracious little clucker! These are pictures taken around late August. He is still molting, you can actually see pin feathers in quite a few of these...

That last one was a picture of our budgies, Capa and Quark. They're not that tame, but they enjoy being around us and Boomer. I'll update more in a bit!

This batch is taken early to mid September. I still take Boomer to his regular neighborhood walks to get his natural sun and fresh air. Boomer is quite the popular little conure on our street now! I met two of my neighboors who had conures of their own as well as their landlord who is a big bird fan. They were delighted at how friendly and social Boomer was. He would even step up for random strangers (I am careful to only let 'calm' people handle him). For some reason, he has an aversion for little children. The first picture is of him and my mom who met him for the first time. Strangely enough, he is afraid of my mom...

Hello again! I'm back to share new pictures taken late September to early October. Boomer officially turned 8 months old yesterday. He seems to have been continuosly molting since June. Everyday he is losing his baby green feathers and gets more of his adult yellow-orange feathers. Its is exciting to see but also makes me a bit sad because he will no longer be a baby bird in another year or so. I also added pictures of our crazy budgies, Capa and Quark.
