COVID-19 Virus

I got my first vaccine last Friday (Moderna). I felt a bit flushed for a few hours, but that may have been due to the obstacle course of cones that I had to drive through in line lol.

Arm was sore 5-7 hours later, but didn't last more than a day. I didn't have a fever or feel sick, but I was really cold for a bit and then my feet got super warm that night lol.

I will say that I felt a bit like I hadn't slept at all on Saturday morning-- kind of like I was hungover (light headache, tired/foggy).

I fully agree, the second shot was clearly more of a 'pain' that the first. Nothing I would describe as beyond tolerable. Slept longer than normal and was weaker than I had anticipated. We had a light snow (around an 1"), but heavy. I was dead died after shoveling it. Nothing that would stop me from taking the shot again.

Hearing bits here and there about a 'third' short, connected to the 'possible' effects of the newer variants, but not finding anything hard in this regard. Could simply be 'talking heads' with not enough to fill a segment. :D

Welcome to the Group!
FYI: You may feel mentally 'odd' as you may have unfounded fear of being infected prior to getting the second shot. It is common, kind of like a long journey and being hit by another car just as you arrive in your home city.
And then, the day you get your second shot, and it's like a uncontrolled need to celebrate!!!

Well my arm is red and itchy from shot, running a little fever now, feel a little cruddy with headache too...so I am a little hypersensitive/ allergic but says its not bad enough allergic reaction to skip next shot . So good to know I can get them next one, and that others have had same reaction . Pharmacist says she has had a few go through the same thing with first shot.
Modera arm, a badge of honor lol, itchy!

I finish my covid shotS about a month ago. I got the Pfizer vaccine . I'm a diabetic and both shots only messed with my readings for a couple days. My arm was a little sore like when you get the flu shot.

And, a huge welcome to you as you have fully joined the "Vaccinated!"

Just remember, it takes a full 14-21 days after your second shot to have that 90-95% immunity, but even then, you can potentially spread it to others (and 90-95% is just the average, but not for all people). So, make sure you wait that 2 weeks before celebrating too much, and even then, only celebrate with other vaccinated people or a small pod of people...especially given the intensity and mutations that go along with the b17 and other variants.

And, that is why I have printed 'VACCINATED' on my face mask! :D

Michigan has reduced restrictions on a cross-section of business, which means that Mrs. Boats and I are going to our favorite eating establishment for an afternoon (fewer people) meal with adult beverages! :D

Much better this morning!

With Dallas - Fort Worth available ICU hospital beds near depletion, our governor recently lifted Covid-19 preventative measures, in a back to business strategy. Meanwhile one of my client based industries has experienced a noticeable growth rate in activity. Funeral services.

FEMA recently sent vaccination supplies direct to Dallas Fort Worth due to the surge. In the wake of our governor's infinite wisdom, vaccination supplies from the state were cut due to supplies being provided by FEMA.

I admire those of you posting success with acquiring the vaccination. I'm underage, but on lists. The wish lists. Wish I was on the acquisition schedule. Wish I was in the post recovery phase.

Vaccinated and still wearing the mask.

Admirable.

Possible, but I'm married to a retired math teacher who no longer has a couple of hundred kids to control! So, just saying that there are times it is just easier to comply! :D

We have governors across this country that are approaching this monster virus from different directions. Our governor had followed New York's governor's lead and she has a like trail of deaths of seniors and the active killing off of small businesses. Point is, what is needed in some parts of Michigan is extremely different than in other parts of this State; just like Texas.

There is just no single approach that works everywhere. The reality is: We as individuals are responsible for our own safety!

FYI: The number of individuals that have the vaccination available to them are refusing it! So, your on the list, that's great! At some point between now and May you will get the call, email or text and you will become part of the Vaccinated!

Stay safe, your turn will come!

Well, it seems that the Media News' Talking Heads in fact had a lead into the next fear center of this Monster Virus!

News Flash!

Moderna' Covid-19 Vaccine has entered Human Testing!!!

The important's of that statement is that this Vaccine is a 'BOOSTER' in addition to the current Vaccines for the 'Variant(s)' that are now beginning to spread into North America!

The never ending story.:45:

Beginning to hear snippets that Michigan 'maybe' dropping its sign-up age to 50 at 'some' point in the near future. Michigan government floating changes to test the waters. So very odd!
