COVID-19 Virus

Since being home from hospital for two weeks now,I have been out just once to do some grocery shopping with my brother. ALOT less people out there..less traffic by the house...going nuts in the house and it is starting to warm up now. I just want to go sit on the deck with Amy and suck up some sunshine. Maybe NEXT week when it gets in the mid 60's. I can't even go to the local park/soccer field to fly my drone coz all parks are closed.

Been bringing my cockatoos out and taking them to work with me as been working overtime lately. They adapted unexpectedly well and leave them out and they fly to play area and play stand and sit on my shoulder for the most part without getting into trouble, or screaming and even go poo by stand, or wait till let outside. They been extremely well behaved for cockatoos. People love them to the point they want one now. Cooper my male really prefer ladies and shows off and now learning words which he never really talk much before, if at all, as he usually prefer sounds. He even makes chirping/clicking and kissing sounds to one lady friend to get her to pick him up. He really does know how to get attention. LOL

When you do have to go to the store is it better to pay .10 for the stores plastic bags or continue using the cloth shopping bags we were more/less forced into using?:21_irked:

I guess you could run them through the washer but I suspect it will shorten the lifespan. But then that would be better than shortening MY lifespan or someone in my household.

They picked up a Coronavirus patient one street over from me in my subdivisions, this is a small subs, would take me one minute to walk to the street from my house... I can see the houses from my window,..
They didn't know they had it, got sick very fast in hospital. This brings my town to 16 cases.....

The non-linked occurs of this Virus has been an on-going issue as this Virus has jumped from linked China and Western Europe sources to non-linked cases. So of that group is individuals not wanting to tell who or where they have been or they just do not remember and worst, Do Not Know!

It is that Do Not Know group that touches on why following separation and properly cleaning of hands are basic, but just so very important as they are the driver /link for transfer from an unknown carrier's trail! Thus, a blind link, but none the less a link! We are at that point, that the Virus is near everywhere and surface transfer has become near equal to direct contact and in some areas, the only link!

If you are not, it is time to take this up several steps from what you have been doing!!! Your actions are what increases or lessens your getting this Virus...

Several stores in my area request folks avoid reusable bags. I'll gladly pay ten cents for a good quality plastic bag. Once emptied, I use Clorox wipes on each item and place the used bag in a corner to "air out." After a month or so any contamination ought be dead.

Some states charge a bag tax. Thankfully in rural area. Larger cities typically charge ridiculous taxes on stupid stuff.

In my town it's been less than a year since they forbade plastic & encouraging everyone to resuable cloth bags. But now (Sunday this week) in my town all the (open) stores have, along with all the other new signs, postings on the doors that Reusable bags are now Prohibited!, not allowed to even bring them in the store.

(In my town they're not allowing stores to charge for them when we are not given a choice.)

whats the concern with bags, just buy strong cloth bags, wash if necessary and reuse. Ive been doing this for years, ive only thrown away the one that enzo thought would be funny to chew a hole in the side.....

1m marker today, this is where the numbers explode, doubling every 3 days unless our measures show effect. Ive not been out for nearly 4 weeks now, tomorrow im going shopping. Gloves and mask at the ready, im really really not looking forward to it.

My xGF decided she was feeling better the other night so spent an evening watching TV with her daughter, this morning the virus has hit her again, how stupid and irresponsible....

So the issue with reusable bags is simply the potential to bring the virus back into the stores. Most people never bother to wash them, so there's no control of where they've been or what is on them. Then they get set in the cart or on the belt or counter for other people's hands or food to contact. Generally never been a problem, but these are different times we've facing.

I follow the death counts for coronavirus reported in only North America and also reported cases in NA. Anyone with apposing thumbs knows that any number from China, etc... are manipulated. Seriously manipulated at that! Anyone that loves numbers can see the lopsided structure in the China numbers, especially as they attempt to define the settling effect... However, if one looks at the number of cremation containers being purchased, there exists a vast difference between reported deaths and contains (why does that provide an insight into the number of deaths). I'll let
those with an interest find the numbers. The dangers of playing numbers is that they quickly turn on the manipulator.

FYI: And to that point regarding US numbers! Most States are not reporting the results of the tests they are evaluating in their own labs!!!! Once again, the power of comparative bases allow projections and at some point, public exposure of those playing games with their numbers. In an upcoming daily National Update, some hapless reporter will fall into the hole and ask the obvious question and several States will be exposed. And, a small sample of that occurred today with a statement regarding the lopsided difference between supplied tests and reported test results, compared to reported cases. Once again the Power of Numbers is in understand where the strengths are and clearly where the weakness are and then the effect of history of those who believe they can cheat the system.

Scott my deepest sympathies for the loss of your friend. He was lucky to have spent many happy years doing a job he loved up there navigating the Big Blue and hopefully he’s back there doing it again now. But undoubtedly a terrible blow to his family. Sadly the losses continue to mount and a vaccine is still a long way off so please everyone, do whatever you can to stay safe!

Yep on tests, Florida has a back log of thousands in North East Florida, as reported and asked every day, when will the drive thru tests from ten days ago be announced????
Two ambulance called out in my town, oneva street over from me last night....they got tested and announced the same day, as they are seriously ill and in hospital. I'm glad they got tested, but what about the thousands already tested??

Using traditional seasonal effects of the set of Flu Virus that roam around the World each year. South America is just starting to pull deep into their Fall. Yes, this Monster Virus is not the Flu, but its certainly pulling into South America.

Sad reality check that most are choosing not to state is that the South America raise will be extremely sharp and early. The supplies North America is bringing on line will stay with the new Blooms across North America. When South America really goes near vertical North America will be in the settling stage and the demand arounds the country will be met, but with little available to send South. With great hope, the North American 'new suppliers' will begin to exceed use and there will be some hope that some supplies will be available.

I truly enjoy New York's Governor's Daily Updates and I truly mean that I do! BUT, sadly, he misses one fine point in the 'art' aspect of numbers and the realties of disposable supplies and most importantly Human Assets! He's belief, and I truly believe when he says it, if 'others' supply his State's Disparate need, he will return the favor when everyone else's needs rise. Sadly, if you run his models and then use them to run other States numbers. The crossing lines vastly limit his being able to supply little to those other States...
