Jasper is now 23 weeks old and at one point down to one feeding at night however over the past week he has started whining for an afternoon feeding. He actually whines. I've checked his weight and he's 582 grams which is about the same as he's been. Since he should be weaned by now how do I discourage this behavior? I will not force wean him but he has learned rather quickly if he whines he will get a feeding.

This whining only occurs when he wants a feeding and as soon as he gets it he stops this behavior

Sounds like Jasper is trying to train you, LOL. :D

Have you tried making him a little formula, but instead of syringe and/or spoon feeding it to him, put it in a little bowl and see if he gobbles it up that way. :)

No I haven't but it's getting worse not better. I'm setting up a vet appointment this morning just to make sure everything is ok
