Hello from Tennessee

Hello Everyone;

I am new here.
I just became Mom to a 7 week old BG Macaw as yet unnamed.
This is my first experience with large parrots. I have had cockatiels in the past and now have 2 parakeets and a parrotlet.
My husband and I went to a bird fair in Nashville yesterday looking for an
African Grey. We saw these 2 baby macaws and fell in love. One got sold while we were there so we decided we better get the other one if that was what we really wanted.
He/she is currently on 3 handfeedings a day and this morning was nibbling on cherrios.
Am hoping to learn a lot here.
