I have a one year old quaker parrot. I just took her to the vet a few days ago and they did blood work on her they found nothing, she has a big distructable toy, gets bathes, all that. The vet had me use a soothing spray on her that just seem to make it worst so im stoping use. Is there anyone else who had this problem & what are some things I can try?

Please help thank you

Is she molting, being a year old i would think she is starting her molt. Check to see if she has any little pins coming through. If so that will explain things & she is busy grooming.

Other than that the only other problem could be feather mites.

Without knowing the cause, we can only make guesses.

Was she checked for allergies? What about a skin infection? What is her diet like? Was anything new introduced diet or environment related? Or even human/other pet related? Do you have a picture of her and her cage?

Sorry to hear you have to go through this, and I hope you are able to help her feel better!

Rather than stress new owners out would it not be a good idea to cover the more common problems than to worry them about things that may not be an issue.

In my years of experiences I have always ruled out the common ailments by elimination it's easier to get to the bottom of most problems.

Was the vet an avian specialist? How severe is the plucking/biting? Does she have large bare areas? Is she drawing blood?
