MAGGIE HAS TO COME HOME... and I'm really scared now that she might not.

This bird has been such a major part of my life for so long, that the thought of living without her just crushes me.

There are a hundred scenarios in which you can get her back, there are way more good people out there than bad people. Even if someone with dishonest intentions found or finds her it will be impossible to keep her identity and how they got her hidden.

Remember, Amanda Berry in Cleveland was found after a decade of being missing, that's as horrific and painful a story ever told, and it turned out well.

You are going to get Maggie back.

Yep. I sure do. That's why I wish the TV interview would air, it would be out there... and I'd feel a lot better about my chances.

He was obviously stoned again tonight. I messed with his head a little bit... He said he heard my bird calling...

So I talked him into doing bird calls over the phone... (making an a$$ of himself over the phone in front of his friends.)

It took him a minute or so to realize the tables had been turned, and the joke was now on him. (Being stoned will do that to you.)

I'm pretty sure he and his buddies were smokin' weed in the yard, again.

Then I basically told him to stop calling and hung up on him.

I hope she is too. Perhaps if she is outside still, this will be the impetus for her to fly into someones yard and start squawking and make herself known and they will call you

Parrots don't have good night vision. They generally don't fly at night. Squawking at night makes you a sitting duck for predators, so I love your line of thought, but it isn't likely.

I don't think she's still loose. I think someone already found her.

Tonight, that's actually a good thing.

Mark, are you also checking other sites besides craigslist for listings? I googled red macaw for sale (I suppose that is how a non bird person might describe her), and found listings on places like hoobly etc. Far away from what it seems you are, but they might list her there if they have family or are out of your area? Also on a site called oodle someone put a greenwing up 5 days ago.

The first parrot I ever lost was only found because of the flyers I put up for her. She had flown into a school and was taken home by the janitor. One of the students found a flyer and showed his dad, who contacted me. She was missing for over a week by the time I got that call, she had been flying free until she got hungry and flew down to the school for food!
