I lost maggie tonight!!

That's not Maggie's voice, but that does look like a very sweet greenwing.

That bird is in Dallas. That's a long way from San Antonio.

And these folks are a legit rescue... not like that other one I'm dealing with at the moment...

Sorry, she did sound so sweet...I was so hoping it's Maggie.....
You are right, your local searches are most likely closer to the tracks.

The call I got tonight has my hopes sky high again...

But there's no way in hell I'm going to be able to sleep tonight.

The thought that she was sold to a breeder, has me the opposite of sky high.

Those are my two leads at the moment. I'm going to follow up on both of them tomorrow.

Have a few shots of vodka........always helps.
Someone has to make this "rescue" person talk and say the true story. Some people are just so bad, it's hard to deal with them the way known to good ones.

The facial feather lines that are like a unique fingerprint to each individual (in the video) are different from Maggie's.

Mark, please don't start assuming the worst of what exactly happened and where she is now. Do not allow your mind to go there!! There is no concrete proof she is any place in particular so please keep your mind open to other better scenarios Okay?! We are close to seeing good news!!

I can feel the intense energy of help and concern leaping out of my monitor.

Mark, if somebody "flipped" Maggie to a breeder, they have got to have the decency to inform you so she can be re-purchased. I know there are many unethical folks out there, but the shadow of this effort has the potential to disgrace anybody proven to be acting with malice or deceit.

I had zero luck getting any information at all our of this person... she just keeps talking about "her trust issues." So, Sarah emailed her a long, heartfelt letter, complete with pictures, telling her how much Maggie meant to her...

You know what the B----- wrote back to my daughter?!

"I'm sorry but that greenwing was sold to a breeder in the Georgetown area. That bird is going to be BRED TO DEATH!"

Sarah called me well after midnight in tears...

Really, that's what you tell my daughter?! I'm sorry but if this is your bird she's going to be bred to death?! WTF IS WRONG WITH THIS PERSON?!

AND THAT SECOND VET CALL JUST HAUNTS ME...

Well we found your bird, but we didn't know what to do with it, so we gave it to this lady that does rescue... We called a vet, but they said...

GGGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHDDDDDDDDD!!!!!! This just can't be happening. I want that call from the vet to come in so freakin' bad!

How does she look? Did you give her food and water? Does she look weak? Does she need vet care? I NEED TO KNOW!

How could you not get a name and number in case someone else called?!

Mark, I do not even know what to say. How can anyone be that heartless? If you think this might be Maggie, get a detective to go with you to her house and get some answers. Make her understand that her actions will have consequences. Enough is enough and there are no excuse for the way she is acting. If you have any friends in the force or a friend of a friend, ask for their help. Time to bring out the big guns if this is Maggie.

Please God end this pain and return Maggie to Mark. He's suffered enough, no more.

To make matters worse, this is laundry day for me. Hardest day of the week. This was Maggie's one on one playday. Go out for coffee, go do laundry, stop by the park and go flying on the way home...

I always looked forward to laundry day. Now, doing laundry is the hardest task in the world. Especially after what went down last night...

We're now working behind the scenes through my breeder conneections to find out if anyone bought a greenwing from this woman recently... She isn't going to cooperate. THERE'S A SPECIAL PLACE IN HELL FOR YOU TOO LADY...

When this is over, no one will ever buy ANY bird from her, EVER again! Macaw breeders have a small, tight knit community. Everybody knows everyone. Most of them do it for the love of the birds... and want their birds to go to good homes where they are loved and cared for...

Praying there is one especially for her :)

I am also at a loss for words! I pray this woman does not have Maggie! :(

I showed up at her place of employment three nights in a row...

SHE CLEARLY HAS NO CONSCIENCE...

Pestering her isn't going to do any good. Backdoor it through the breeders I know. It will probably be more productive. Of course, it would be easier if she'd just say WHO... but...

Good idea Mark. You are handling her a lot better than I would. While not productive, I have quite a temper when I'm pushed too far. This would have been too far. Let us know if there's anything we can do to help.

Well, I edited my post yesterday but NOT any niceness towards this "rescue person" anymore!
Mark please document everything. This woman needs to be destroyed!
But first Maggie has to be found!
And please relax if you can. If this is a right lead, there are not very many Macaw breeders in TX. They all know each other. There is always an option to hire a privet detective if needed.
As mentioned so many times by other members, we are a big group of people who can help financially (well, I know I'll try to do my part).
Please let us know what we can do.

OMG...I come back on after a couple of days and I cant believe what Im reading. Im so sorry Mark. This is so heartbreaking!

I'm also at a loss for words. My heart breaks for you and Sarah... and Maggie. I'm sorry that today is laundry day - I can't imagine having to deal with that chore under the current circumstances.

I pray that she is out there with someone who just hasn't seen your flyers and all the posts on FB and other social media.

From what Im gathering here is that you think a Rescue got Maggie and the lady who runs the rescue isnt cooperating with you...am I right...if so this is terrible...her top priority should be to help Maggie get home to her own home and her own people not to a strange home and strange people and most certainly not to a breeder . On the plus side of this ordeal is a good feeling that if indeed Maggie did end up with this lady then the route you are taking now through the breeders making enquiries as to who may have got a macaw from her recently could very well be the path that leads you to Maggie and her safe return home...Best of Luck with the search
