Is Rico plucking? I noticed it the other day.
Itā€™s hard to tell, he may be picking at that pin feather.
Have you seen him messing with that spot?

From what Iā€™m able to tell, maybe?
My tiels squeak or scream when they touch a sensitive pin feather.
Maybe wait until the feather grows in and see if he leaves it be.

Thats weird with the one pin feather poking out. Keep an eye on it. Make sure he is getting enough baths or showers, it can help with itchy new feathers. Every other day is fine, more is OK too.

Rico usually doesnā€™t do that. He just sticks his head up and becomes a bowling pin and then does back to preening. So far it seems to be growing okay.

Yeah, it is unusual. He doesnā€™t bathe often so that may be something he will get angry about. Iā€™ll steam him as soon as I can
