Just concerned ( Bird backpack)

Third post of the day lol, I own two tiels, and I have this bird backapck. I know the ones with plastic covers have crappy ventilation but this one has mesh. I was hoping I could walk around with my two tiels at supermarkets or public spaces, so they could experience the outdoors more. I sadly dont have a perch so they just stand there. I wish I knew where to buy one that'd perfectly fit but this was given to me and I have no idea where to find a perch. The tiels, last time I brought them to a park and expanded the thing, enjoyed the outdoors!! Any advice or comments? Help is always appreciated

Also I live in WA, North America. Its a mountain region. Until I get a better backpack, what are some temepratures I can bring them out in? It's currently in the 70s here (Fahrenheit)

A rope perch would probably fit. Or you can cut one out of wood.

Do they sell these rope eprches individually? How do I know its a good fit for the backpack

They often sell them individually. I know they often say the length before you buy the perch, and you can measure the width of the backpack to make sure it's a good fit. Even if you have to squish the rope perch into the backpack, it should help

They also come in different diameters for different sizes of birds. I have a really short one that I use to potty Juliette that stays loose but is fatter. I call it her "Pooper Scooper". I also have a really long skinny one. They are very adaptable.

OK, and would u say its okay to travel around in that kind of backpack? Usually in the morning it feels like 50-60, but it gets a bit warmer throughout the afternoon. I want to see if I can bring them to a mall- I’ve seen pictures of people bringing them to malls. I assume they don’t get overwhelmed because people say that it excites their bird and enriches them (though I don’t know how about that last part, sometimes they could get overwhelmed with new surroundings).

I love rope perched for my budgies. They're gentle on their feet.

For prolonged outdoor time, I would say 65F and above. 65F or so is what a lot of people keep their air conditioners set on.

Rope perches are great. Different diameter, lengths and flexibility. So if a little long it can loop to fit.
