My garden....it's getting there

Love your garden!!!! I'm jealous... We don't even have a lawn right now- just grass patches and weeds lol just you wait though- after we get our house put in I'll be landscaping and planting like crazy!! Good thing hubby's a contractor so he can build all sorts of things for me mwa hahahaha!!!!!

This is one of two hydrangea planters

Each one is in a half of a huge wine barrel for now.. All my plants are in planters so I can move them around if need be.

Beautiful hydrangea you've got there!!!! My neighbor have the same kind and when I get my driveway done in the spring time I'm going over there to make some cuts so I can start a hydrangea row on the side of the driveway. I know it would be several years before anything big will happen but I'm willing to wait. I really want the hydrangea in the movie Great Gatsby but unfortunately those won't grow here and have to be indoors during winter time....

We are finally home so I thought I would post some pics of my hydrangea. Although I have to say they par in comparison to the pics on this thread. :)

They certainly do NOT par, Kendra! Your hydrangeas are GORGEOUS!!! :D

I'll be right over to hop into your AWESOME pool...give me 30 minutes, must pack my swim suit. :54:

I am also feeling a little 'pool envy'. haha. I have the perfect back yard for a swimming pool but I haven't had the money to spend on the pool (not just getting it but the maintenance costs and the taxes). But, maybe some day!!! I love a swimming pool in the yard. I would totally use it.

It was here when we moved in. My husband was a competitive swimmer and a lifeguard so he loves it and does the maintenance happily. It is nice, but unless the kids have friends over they don't have a lot of interest in it.

I LOVE hydrangeas.. They're my favorite flower! Both were gifts from hubby, and both survived multiple inadvertent death attempts lol they're pretty resilient! At least these two seem to be hahaha this one was originally pink, but the other was originally blue and has changed to pink.... I think it's cool how hydrangea blooms change colors according to the ph levels they're subjected to :) I'm excited to get these ladies in the ground come spring time after we get our new house finished :D

My latest bloomer that just bloomed last night!!!! My Moon Flower!!!!

 That is phenomenal, Michael!!!! Is this an annual??? Is this the same flower that was in "Dennis the Menace" movie???? My kids were just asking me about that flower the other day, and I honestly don't remember what type it was. But THIS is it, right???? BEAUTIFUL! How long does the flower last? :D

This was my Magnolia last week. Not looking quite so pretty this week as all the blooms are dropping. New foliage coming through now though!

Oh yes, any time!! :D <doing the Irish dance here>

You were thinking of Night Blooming Mock Orchid.... Plants similar is Night Blooming Epiphyllum which my family have and I witness it bloom at night when I was little....Moon flower lasts just one night! I'm babying the plant since I don't have anymore seeds left....You have to regrow them from seeds yearly....

Wow that is so beautiful! Good job! Oh and love the squirrel! :)

It's been ages since I've updated, mainly because there isn't "much" going on in my garden at the moment.....

EXCEPT my brand new Brugmansia, which I only planted in May is blooming.

This is how the plant looked when I first got it:

And here it is now:

A bunch of flowerbuds....I hope they get a chance to mature as it's getting pretty chilly here at night
