New member & GCC parent!

Hello!! My name is Tori, and Nova is my turquoise GCC is 3 months old as of today, and for the past few weeks we have gotten along very well

Whenever I've had questions over the past two years regarding owning a bird, this website had always been the first to come up with exactly what I needed from wonderful & knowledgeable birdy parents of this community! I hope to be able to continue to look towards you all for advice as I have been, and to give back-- I absolutely love gardening and growing sprouts for my baby boy, as well as making toys for him to rip apart. Hopefully I can break out of my shy shell & share some things that I've learned Looking forward to being a part of this community!!

Glad to hear you are enjoying making him toys, I discovered how much fun it is to make toys for Yoda and now I think I like making them more than he likes destroying them. Lol. It's a win for both of us, plus a lot cheaper than buying them. Besides, why pay $20 for a toy when he spends more time chewing on a plastic bottle cap than the fancy store bought toy, right?

(Pardon if I'm not doing this correctly, I'm so new to using forums!!)

It's so nice to be able to use leftover pieces like bottle caps My Nova just loves shredding things though-- I make a lot of origami and rolled up paper towels for him to destroy but unfortunately all of the parrot toy part suppliers don't ship to Hawaii for less than astronomical fees... Understandable, but still holding out hope to find some way to get nice little natural parts & wood pieces! So much to learn still, thanks again to you and everyone else, for the very warm welcome!!
