You play this one by writing a story using only one word at a time. For example:

Player 1: There
Player 2: Was
The story continues just like that, until you can make something actually happen. If the story comes to an end, start a new one! But let everyone know the old story is over first. It doesn't have to be bird-related, anything can happen in the story at all.
