Resuced birds need home -- Dayton, Ohio

I have 2 green cheek Coures and 2 Cockatiels in Dayton, Ohio. I rescued them from someone I know because they were not taking care of their properly. There were 3 Conures, One had a broken leg when I got him so I took him to the vet and after expensive vet bill he died 2 days later.

I am unable to care for these birds and need to find them good caring homes.

The two Cockatiels - Paco and Patches - Are very social and require a lot of attention. They have a cage and been being fed Harrison pellets as per vet instructions. Both are Healthy and happy.

The to Conures - Paulie and Piper - are semi-social, they are getting better. Healthy and happy. Also fed the same food as the cocktails. They have a big cage on wheels.

This is what I am asking for but willing to negotiate.

2 Cockatiels +Cage -- Make Offer

2 Green Cheek Conures + Cage -- Make Offer

Anyone who is able and willing to care for these awesome birds, And can pick them up please contact me.

Thank you,

Brian

Thank you for taking them on and looking for a home for them. I hope you find a great home for these lovely parrots.

Here's a toss up. If ALL else fails, I will meet you halfway, for the GCC's: BUT as an exchange. I am on a tight budget myself. Now that being said, there are a lot of "Flippers" out there that just want to make money off of birds. It's up to you to decide what will be best for them and there will "probably" be others closer to you. jh

Hi, I might be up to do that in about a week. I do not have a way of transporting the cage fully intacted, I will have to take it apart 1st. I do have a travel cage for them.
Send me a private message.

I sent the PM and told a bit of myself to help you decide. I am really looking forward to getting them BUT I also know that you may find someone closer to you and it's not a done deal yet. I need to get the car inspected Monday or Tuesday too. Hoping but you message me here and I will call if you decide to follow through. So far, I'm delighted to even be considered and thank you for that. A few more pic's would be appreciated and if you decide on me; the overall cage dimensions would be nice. URS jh

Hubbs and I *may* be interested in the tiels. We just brought 23 birds out of quarantine, so have the space. We need to think more about it, but have a couple of questions.

How old are the tiels, do you know at least roughly? Would you be able to bring them halfway, or at least south of Cincinatti? We are around 3 hours away from Dayton.

Did you happen to ask the mods to facilitate your pm? (Looks like OP might not yet have enough posts to receive pm? )

I kinda hope one or more of these birds might come to you as you have been hoping for a while. :)

My husband and I are leaning towards holding off on adopting more birds right now. Especially ones who have to travel to get to us. I wish you luck on finding homes for them, and Jh is totally a good candidate for your conures. He seems very willing to learn and do right by a bird or birds. He has been looking to adopt for a while, and has not given in to the "easy route" of buying a bird from a breeder or pet shop.

Hi fiddlejen. No I sent the pm as soon as I saw the last po msg and after a few hours, posted my next msg (here) to inform them (in case a mod hadn't informed them in the meantime); then bug_n_flock posted (hi bug !) sent hers. I been on a very erratic sleep and awake thing since just before the msg, so I have checked every so often and made my next comment finally. It may turn out better for bug_n_flock and I will have to understand as well. Lord knows this room needed straightening anyhow.
Moderators, would you get a pm off to the op just in case they didn't get my pm? jh

I totally understand how you feel. When I was communicating with Winston’s previous mom, I had moments like this. Our conversation stopped and started multiple times. This is not unusual in the process of rehoming. The rehoming family has lots of things/considerations going on too. Maybe it is this one, maybe it is not. You will meet your right bird at the right time, and that’s all you need.
