The Joys of Mini Pumpkins

I love when fall comes around and mini pumpkins come to store. I usually just cut off the top, stuff some chop in, and give it to Lincoln. He loves it. I'm trying something new this time though. I just drilled a little hole in the stem so I could hang it. Then I drilled small holes all around it and put some safflower seeds in it. Gave one to all the birds. Lincoln is the only one that has approached his so far. However he just went after the string so I might have to figure out if I can replace it with wire xD

Yep, I do similar here too! Except I chuck it into the oven on 350F for 15 minutes to soften it. 🎃 love finding these in the store (doesn’t come around often here).

I am going to pick up a couple mini pumpkins at the farmers market. But I might carve out eye and mouth holes so my birds can chew on them as they hang in the cage.
