What is this?

Can someone explain what this is? He’s 5-6 weeks old and I am formula feeding him. He eats normal. Is this something I should be concerned about?

What are you looking at? It just looks like a lighter colored area of beak. Is it hard or soft? Can you scrape it off? Is it dried formula? Try using a cotton swab dipped in plain water to clean it off really good and feel it with your fingernail. Does the baby react with discomfort when you touch it? Is there a similar area on the other side?
Do you have access to an avian vet?
