why are parrots so overlooked?

Do you use any apps for parrots? I know there are tons of apps for dogs and cats, but there doesn't seem to be anything popular for parrots. It's honestly a bit disappointing. It's the same when you walk into a pet store - aisles full of products for dogs and cats, but almost nothing for parrots, even though there are so many of them. It feels like discrimination. It's the same with vets. In my country, it's hard to find an avian vet even in the capital, while clinics for dogs and cats are everywhere.

You're right. I found apps that were for learning languages with parrot in the name. I did think I hit the jackpot with Parrot Health. But it was a human weight loss app. I'm not an app person. It never occurred to me to look.

I think BirdTricks has an app for parrots.
I think its main purpose is tracking the health and weight of your bird/ birds.
I haven’t looked into it though.

I see on my phone pet bird coach (costs money a few dollars) or, exotic bird care. I’ve tried neither. I’m not sure which OS you are using. This is what the iPhone/ipad one looks like.

It's even more difficult when you start thinking about all the different species with different needs -dog breeds differ, but nothing like parrot species from various corners of the world. Also, bird husbandry has come a long way but is nowhere near where we are with dogs and cats. The risk of accidentally providing incorrect or harmful information is much higher when research on best practices is still hard to come by. When one of our birds was ill last year, our vet was consulting colleagues around the country for medication info because most of the existing literature was in chickens and hawks. It's a big challenge.

Even here, budgies, tiels, and such so similar but so, so different. I work to keep reading on CAG related articles. I've even written negative comebacks on illustrations and comments and especially feeding and living conditions. But little things I've learned amazes me. Especially about emotional attitude and learning. Along with ways to encourage same and more. I'm an observer. Some of the things about Nameliss I noticed but didn't know the reason why. I assumed it was owner training. Nice to know there was a legitimate reason I was responding to.
