Worried about my suncheeck

Yes, thats what he said. He only did xrays. And then he confirmed it was her tail. Her mouth is not wet all the time. So I dont know what to think. He gave me baytril 5mg/ml 0.2 ml twice daily and meloxicam 1.5 mg/ml 0.02 ml once a day. The place I visited has good reviews, I saw like three birds while being there.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but ANY avian vet worth his salt would have done gram stains/fecal smears IMMEDIATELY. Your vet is not qualified to handle your case. Please find a CERTIFIED avian vet; your current vet is wasting your money and killing your bird :(

The place is called alta rancho pet and bird hospital located in rancho cucamonga CA.

I'm not familiar with them but I AM familiar with parrot health care. I have dealt with good vets and bad, and I'm telling you ANY vet who knew ANYTHING about treating birds would have immediately done grams stains (costing less than $40) and not even mentioned x rays (much more expensive) until the obvious causes had been ruled out. I hate speaking so bluntly but your current vet has not business treating birds much less taking your money for his so-called help.

Tomorrow I will ask him for a photo of the xrays. Hopefully he is willing to give me one. I upload it tomorrow.

You can share them and maybe that will be helpful, but X-rays cannot diagnose respiratory infections to my knowledge, and they certainly can't say which medication needs to be used to treat it.

Well, I had take her to two vets already. i dont wanna keep spending money I dont have in vets. Both of them told me it was her tail. if both of them are lying then I dont know how to find a good vet near me. Both places had the best reviews. :/
