You won't see any "veins" at this point Amsterdam, so those other 2 eggs may very well still be fertile if they originally did have veins!!! As the babies develop inside of the egg, the veins become non-visible and you get basically a dark inside of the egg that you can't see much of, and a little air space at the top of the egg...So just leave them for another week or so...There are 2-3 days between each egg's age, so if the 3rd baby just hatched yesterday, then the next one should hatch tomorrow or the next day, and then the last one 2 days or so after that...and sometimes they are late, so I always leave ALL of the eggs for a week AFTER the last chick hatched, just to make sure...

I don't have helpful advice to offer about breeding budgies but have been meaning to post on this thread that I've been enjoying watching the process and am so happy for Hayat that she was not just rescued and made healthy again but that she now gets to raise babies of her own. Very wonderful story to watch unfold.

Umbrella Cockatoo- 15? years old..I think?
Did you ever anticipate delving so far into birds?! lol
I know you found Hyat and I think you had another bird already, but were you a big bird person before this or did it all just kind of fall in your lap?
I'm just curious because you are doing an excellent job!

Oh wow! So cute!! It's so wonderful to see these new, beautiful lives that came from a potential tragedy of what happened to Hayat. I love it when things turn out happily. :)

This is especially good to see considering there's been too many tragedies for some of our other Parronts here. I hope in some way this helps them to see that where there is sadness and endings, there is also joy, life and new beginnings.
