Wait......... you don't think parrots shed?

OMG I can't wait till you see your first molt... I hope this is a "jest post" because once your bird starts molting it's gonna look like a bird exploded ask around, this is fact.

I was a cat person for many years before being overtaken by feathered friends.
But I still think of molting as sheedind.

I am happy when I find a feather in my pocket and know who it came from. I still find Lucy feathers.

When we took our Jack Russels to a vet one time, she was sitting on a black vinyl lobby chair. We watched as, literally, the hairs were cascading off of her just sitting there. It took that to fully drive home to us just how much she really shed.

I grabbed one of our chihuahuas the other day (long coat) and ran my fingers through his fur super fast - the cloud of hair that floated up into the sunlight was mildly terrifying.

And don’t get me started on the pug. He sheds all year. It’s ridiculous! The only thing keeping us sane here is the Roomba downstairs and the cordless Dyson.

I am so used to Drake's shedding that I giggle about it now. I call this his love hairs, and he just has so much to give when people complain to me about his shedding when they come to my house. I own 3 roomba's, and at times dog hair is still all over the place. I have lint rollers all over the place!

Yes, I do agree about parrots molting. Nico, and I are going through our first molting together. He has a lot of dander right now, and looks like a snow ball because of all of his down feathers coming in. He is very itchy as well.

I always joke about the furry ‘critters’ that floof when you walk by. You wouldn’t think a short haired dog would shed so much, but yeah, we have little hair floofies that when you walk by and stir up the air currents, in the peripheral vision it sometimes look like a mouse running! So not cool!

I was staring at the blanket on my ottoman in dim light this morning (and before coffee) trying to figure out why my eyes thought there were staples all over it 😂 A whole 2 days' worth of min pin shedding! 🤣😂🤣
