Today for the first time Zenek opened his cage and left it on his own

With my first CAG I tried cable ties, padlocks. Some how he could jiggle the cheap ones open. Was afraid because of his beak for any thing big. Finally a combination lock. I don't know what he did. But do you know how embarrassing it is to take a bird cage with bird in it to a lock smith? Then having lock cut off? The eyes filled with laughter. Then as leaving the apprentice says, lady we got a new class starting. Do you think he'll be interested? We all burst out laughing including my CAG. I took him because no one would believe me if I said a bird did it. They couldn't figure it out either what he did to the turner. I ended up getting another cheap bird cage cut parts that fit over door a bit wider and taller. Then put as many cable ties as I could around it. Most weren't on it. It kept him busy until I got off work.

I have been trying to teach Nameliss to count to 5. She counts to 4 our of order. This evening she began saying zero. I am hard pressed to find out where she got that from. I've narrowed it down to anywhere.

so far he hasn't done itagain but I wouldn't be surprised if he did

After much savings I bought Nameliss a Celltie from mfg. She's cost me just over 350$ in carriers in past 10 years. That's half the cost of one. Well she fell in love with it. She wouldn't come out. It was hysterical watching her check out seams, mesh, zipper for weak points. Imagine walking down the street with wolf whistles, weird noises from your pack. In stores back talking strangers even if they weren't saying anything. I got fussed at because she kept telling this man's dog to sit. He said lady he's already sitting. I turned pack and pointed to feathered individual. He started laughing.

Nameliss says NEVER. Her job is paper shredder. She's 5 stars at it! If Yvon has eaten your notes she wants him to know he's flunked the course. Parrots never eat paper. They shred it up beautifully. My first CAG shredded up ten 5$ bills into confetti. I was in DC. He did such a wonderful job the Bureau of Engraving and Mint responsible for exchanging damaged bills laughed. I was told that I had a wonderful reminder never let my parrot near my wallet again. I kinda suspected that answer. But I enjoy seeing non parrot folks response when I say..my parrot did it.

She's definitely comfortable in the bag, especially compared my Cockatiel who had the personality of a grumpy old man... He was hard to get in and hard to get out even though he loved going broody in the bag when I wasn't using it!

Good luck with that, it's always difficul- I mean fun! To get a bird to acclimate to new things. What's Vortex disliking about travelling? Is it the bag, the movement, or does vortex just hate it in general? I found that keeping the bag or travel cage around, and putting the bird's favorite treats in there but not putting the bird in it just yet and letting them go in on their own accord keeps them from doing a mass freakout over getting put in the strange new place that they've never seen before.
