HELP!!! URGENT!!! BLEEDING BUDGIE!!!!

last night my parakeet peterli was fine but this morning he is hiding his face from me he won't eat and it looks like hes bleeding from his beak
i am very attached to him and i dont do good with sick birds... what do i do???!?!?!? PLZ HELP ASAP!!

I'm so sorry your little one is ill, @sassybudgiestevie! He may have some sort of infection, a gastric problem or even a nutritional deficiency, unfortunately without a hands on exam it's very difficult to tell what's causing it or give you the correct treatment. It's best handled by an avian vet, and I don't know exactly where in the world you are located but the list below may help you to find one....

In the meantime keep him quiet and warm, perhaps in a smaller cage or a carrier where he can't fly about so much and exacerbate the problem. If you can determine that the bleeding is from an external wound, you can try packing it with cornstarch which should slow or stop the bleeding. I hope, after you recover somewhat from losing your baby, that you get another budgie. Just make sure you disinfect his cage, toys, food dishes, perches and anything else he may have come in close contact with.

yes his companion died a while ago, and i didn't think it was a good idea to get another
