How to draw a Senegal parrot

The name doesn't seem to be familiar to me but after checking it I think I've seen it somewhere.

I'll tell more precisely: this what I had written about thinking to draw comics samples - I didn't mean bird comics. In my fanfic there are few parrot characters (at this moment 12, but they aren't main). But I've made two drawings of two parrot characters (not including two drawings in my primitive way from 2012-2013), they are based on already existing photos

I don't think it is bad - but I'm writing own fanfiction series and I wanted to draw some scenes - but to do it I need to learn drawing without references (because it is hard to find a photo with similar pose like in my mind, at this moment I gave up, but maybe after finishing writing I'll try drawing scenes again)

There are quite good "doll" pose apps on the net, can be very useful. I often "cheated" by taking a photo of myself in the pose i want, or just ask my partner to pose for me :')

As someone already gave a hint, try to make the simple shapes and then just add the details!

Most of my notebook was FILLED with random cartoon drawings. I miss the old days when I was so productive!!! (I'm at a different type of a work for last 3-4 years now, no time to doodle!)

Uhmmm, yess please???? My issue is when my birds make something silly I don't manage to take the picture so I just doodle over and over from memory until I get the pose I wanted!

I'm still finding my own drawing style, though I will say I draw mostly cartoony birds.
