Major meltdown here!

It's coming back!! Just got off the phone with the vet. Hunter is having surgery AGAIN this Saturday! (with Dr. Doolen)

Additionally I'm dealing with a cruciate ligament tear on my dog's right knee.

TOO MUCH!!!

Oh Wendy, I am so sorry for you and poor Hunter! Stay strong and try to autopilot through some of this. I know it's so hard to emotionally disengage, but maybe it will help you enjoy the good times more and feel less devastated over the things you can't control. Will be thinking about the two of you.

I'm so sorry to hear that poor Hunter is going through this, again. I'm really hoping that it's not the left eye this time around. Poor girl. I'm praying this surgery will be the last she needs to go through.

Have you considered getting a second opinion? A fresh set of eyes might come up with some new options.

Thank you all! What I need right now is a new set of nerves. I feel quite shattered at the moment.

In this case Dr. Doolen will be my fresh set of eyes since Dr. Mickley performed the last surgery. There is no cash left for a third opinion this time, nor needed IMHO, especially since the lab results were conclusive what we're dealing with here.

It's the right eye, the same eye that was operated on less than 2 weeks ago. My best guess is they did NOT remove all of it, but were conservative with how much they took.

Oh Wendy, I am so sorry you, Hunter, and your dog are experiencing more challenges.

Hoping for the very best, it really hurts when our pets have medical issues that are not easily healed.

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that Wendy. I wish all the best for this to be successful for Hunter. Poor girl. I don't know which dog is hurting, but I feel for you there too.

Wendy, I am so sorry It is hard enough when one of our babies is ailing, but to have 2 at once is agony.

Wendy, I'm so sorry to hear this. Ziva's knee was stressful enough and now poor Hunter, I can't believe she is having surgery again so soon. Hugs to you, a kiss for Ziva and skritches for Hunter.
