Im sure this would have been covered within the forums previously, bust iv just spent a few hours sifting through search results for the term incubator, brooder, and although iv come across hundreds of posts regarding specifics, humidity, timing, turning, hatching, candling, measurments etc i couldnt find any posts that has a suggestion for incubators.
I know the ultimate, serious bird breeders ultimate choice would be a gumbach, but i figured surely there has got to be some other recommendations for someone who doesn't want to fork out more money on the incubator than the bird themselves ($2-4000). To fork out that sum of money is expected for a professional breeder who makes income from their work but I dont plan on making ANY income from my interest (especially after building the HUGE aviary) so of course I have to plan accordingly...
but this also doesn't mean im willing to risk anything in a cheap ebay incubator either. Does anyone have any suggestions on decent quality, relatively affordable incubators that cater to macaws. I understand how the incubator works, the automatic egg turns, the humidity controls etc, so if an incubator has all the necessary features required and runs with minimal vibrations then wouldnt any brand be suitable? Or is it recommended to stick with brand names when it comes to valuable eggs such as macaw eggs? No matter whats spent on the incubator i plan to have a backup generator available and numerous digital and analogue monitoring equipment handy for accurate readings.
So far iv found

Are there any other brands that are known among breeders that have worked well for macaws? Any information or suggestions is greatly appreciated.
