The worst possible thing happened

Jeff is gone. He flew away. They were outside and I didn't fully close the cage door.

I will ask my mom if I'm allowed to add personal contact info example email, city etc

I'm just so anxious right now

Oh no, I'm so, so sorry! Poor Jeff! I really hope you find your baby, and I'm so sorry, Pipp.

Put up posters (how I got Stormy back).
Notify rescues, feed stores, etc.
Offer a reward larger than the price of a budgie so no one resells him (unlikely, but you should still be careful).
Search everyday, and make your search larger every day.
Notify the police and fire department, and tell them not to be loud or use sirens if they find Jeff.
Never give up!

Oh Pipp, what a shock! I'm so sorry Jeff got away!

In addition to the excellent advice provided by Stormy, the following sticky might give you some more ideas on how to make an effective search ...

You can list at www.parrotalert.com, and they have also published this flyer that may help you too ...

You can make up old-fashioned paper flyers to pop into mail boxes in your neighbourhood – I got an IRN back on the same day with this method many years ago. Alert local Facebook community groups, pet shops and ALL local veterinary clinics, not just avian ones.

I'm so very sorry this has happened Pipp, and I pray that Jeff is returned safely to you very soon!🙏

Thanks Martina for the info, I'll forward to mom.

Grandma said we can walk around looking for him, but I'm afraid that Jeff might come back to his friends while we're gone
Is it possible that one of you can walk and one can stay home?

Ok I'm gonna go look around a bit, my brother will keep a lookout
That's great! I wish you the best of luck in finding sweet Jeff. And another thing, don't be too hard on yourself. I fell into a huge depression after Stormy few away, and honestly, it just made me give up more easily and think that he was gone for good.

I have a towel with me so If found I'll have to throw it over him.. ik not the best but It'll work

I posted on multiple bird forums, but to be honest it feels wrong. It feels like attention seeking. I am going to leave it to PF and the two other forums I posted on..

All I can do right now is just hope and pray that he comes back.
