Hi, need some help! I just got a nice big cage for my cockatiel Piccolo, but while putting it together, I realised the way they designed the sides to join together makes these really small bar spaces on all the corners, ranging around 3-5mm! Could Piccolo get his feet caught in these while climbing around, or are they too small?
If it's bad and i find out quickly enough, i might be able to return it and get a better one. If not, what can i do to make it safe? One idea i had was wrapping a bunch of twine around the corners until it filled the gaps, but i dunno, lots of work and he'll probably chew through it.
He's a temporary foster, it's a yes4pets 95×75×180h with 1.2cm bar spacing, and i wanted a cage i can use for rats after, i don't know if those gaps are safe for rats either but the kogan ad said for birds and rats.
