Come and listen to a story of the Rickeybird
a poor Patagonian whose voice was barely heard
One day he was in a pet store being all for sale,
When up through the aisle come a wandering’ Gail
Redhead, you know
ImplusI’ve type.

Well the next thing you know old Gail had turned the page
Took Rickey home without waiting for his cage
He sat on her shoulder, was the place he had to be
And sometime by dawn they had formed a family.
Bird and human.
Just them two.

HELLO, BELOVEDS (human and otherwise)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, I've been missing in action again... this time for a couple of months... health issues (hospital plus rehab). I wanted to explain my absence, but let's not dwell on all THAT. I'm not quite back to full-speed, but I can't wait to start catching up. I'll post this in the Rickeybird's Scrapbook, too.
I have missed you.

DANG, there is no more beautiful bird than a well-feathered, well-preened Grey. What a good-looking parrot.
You're right about the crew here... I'd almost forgotten what it's like to crack up at the antics of the parrots (and their parronts).

A first order of business upon my return... a trip to the vet.
Here's the Rickeybird raising havoc in his travel crate/play box... Note the silence when I ask a special question. Dead silence. No bird in here. Nothing to see. Move along, move along...
